Devils Head Trails

Great News. They mowed the ski runs at Devils Head. It got me fired up so I took my weed wacker out there and did a little clearing of the overgrowth that is coming in thick. We need a lot more though. We should either put together a couple of workdays, or maybe individually, as people have time they can go on their own to beat the bushes back. I saw a couple of new riders out there who thought the trails were great except for all of the scratches they were getting.

Thought I would give an update on the trail work recently at Devils Head. Lower part of Deer Run is ok ,but still could be widened some. New team member Terry thought he might get to that soon. Top half of Deer Run is in great shape( thanks to whoever took the chainsaw to the fallen trees there and on Ghost rock.) Meadows, Max's and Devils Alley are now in great shape too.

What would be helpful now would be if anyone could take a trimmer to Ghost Rock. Not real bad now, but it is getting some overgrowth.

Bigger project might be if we took some shovels and picks out to Ghost Rock where the creek has decided to run down our trail. If we made a place for the water to run across the trail and drain down the hill we would only have to deal with a small wet area that we could bridge or something instead of the 50ft of mud there now.
